Ah Hong, to get started with Android development, go to http://developers.android.com

If you know Java, you should be able to do Android programming. But expect to spend some time reading – the syntax is Java, but you’ll need to learn Android specific concepts e.g. intents, services, UI, event handling, etc.

Simulators are bundled with the Eclipse plugin. But I use real phones too

I was thinking to build Android apps for fun too, is that hard Bernie? Question: -
- what is the simulator you use to test your Android apps?
- any guide that I can follow just to build Hello World for Android apps first?

By the way, mobile related articles attract readers. My HTC HD2 posts get quite some traffic lately. Your N1 will too.

Seems that adding the parameter string…
-Dsun.lang.ClassLoader.allowArraySyntax=true

…to the Tomcat Java Options also solves this error. With “Java Options” I am referring to the text field with that label displayed under the “Java” tab in the “Configure Tomcat” tool when user has installed Tomcat 5.5. using the Windows Installer.
