Finally! Photos from Sabah
Due to the heavy workload the past 2 weeks, I did not have the time to put up photos from my trip to Sabah. Happy to say that it's finally up on my flickr, Multiply and also Facebook. I have mixed feelings regarding this trip. Some places in Sabah looks beautiful, but takes ages to reach by car.
Kundasang - the famous highlands - is pretty but also spoiled by development. The market there was filled with dust from the heavy vehicles moving around in the vicinity. Overall it felt worse than Cameron Highlands, which really shouldn't be the case. The same goes for Kota Kinabalu. The place is OK for sightseeing, but to my surprise some locals there can really spoil the mood. It's nice if you stay in the hotel all the while, but I tend to walk around a lot with the camera. Didn't have a good impression. And for Kudat, it's really undeveloped. Roads were awful there (though I heard it was worse before) but when we finally got to the tip of Borneo, the place was sort of OK.
If I am offered a trip to Sabah in the near future, I'll probably skip it. Well, maybe if I get to visit the islands I'll reconsider

Ah, but work is like that. Why didn’t you extended your stay there?
You didn’t miss much though. The whole family was there so that made the trip fun for me. There’s nothing much there really…

HaHa… Sabah is still slow in development. I like the islands only. The water is so clear. Not sure it is still okay or not.
