I’m embarking on an effort to switch to Ubuntu, partly triggered by my friend’s move to an iMac. One thing that struck me is that user-interfaces have come so far. Yes, Windows XP, despite my efforts in theming it, has become stale. There are now but 2 options - Vista or Linux. Yes, surprisingly (or not, depending on which crowd) Linux is now looking a lot better than Windows XP.

So yeah, despite the other benefits of going Linux and also the many pitfalls, I’m gonna switch, just because it looks nicer. Hence from today onwards, all my non-work computer usage is gonna be on Ubuntu 8.04.
