Thank God for Rapidshare 
I’ve been spending some quality time with my laptop, watching movies. Streamyx has consistently managed a 150 kbp/s download which made me very happy. That also means roughly a few hours (or less) for a 700 mb file, incidentally, enough for roughly a movie show. Being the sad and lonely freak that I am, I’m gonna share what I watched. Here they are, in no particular order:
- Episode 1 - 7 of Battlestar Galactica (sci-fi fans only)
- 21 (recommended)
- The Bucket List (could be better)
- Children Of Men (avoid like the black plague)
- The Mothman Prophecy (could be better)
- Just Friends (recommended)
- Prozac Nation (watch if you like gloomy movies that goes “wtf?!”)
- The Forbidden Kingdom (watch if you like fantasy movies)
- Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy (recommended)

Are you using a registered RapidShare account? How much does it cost?
Is downloading from RapidShare faster than Bittorrent?
So far if I can get 20k per download i’m happy like mad… but 150k … is just crazy…hehe
Any tips to tune my modem/router?
Yes, using a Rapidshare Premium account. About RM35 per month, cheaper is you subscribe for more months. 150kB/s is much faster than BitTorrent accounts and it’s not throttled.
Torrents are a bit of a hit-miss scenario. You need a lot of seeders for any large downloads. Not the case for Rapidshare.
Wow! Just tested RapidShare for a few days and am very happy with the speed. After using it, don’t think I’ll use back torrents anymore. Worth the money. = )
