I remember trying this quite a while back to skin my T5. Nifty application to update the UI of the aging Palm OS 5. I’m not sure how this’ll affect stability or performance since it’s a pretty low level hack. Here’s a preview of SkinUI running the Cobalt skin (screen from palmpowerups.com).

Skins are available at palmpowerups.com as well. Thanks to TamsPalm for the news.

Event details: photokaki.com - Marie Digby Live in KL (One Utama, May 14 2008). Lovely girl and sweet voice. Do I need any other reason to be there?
Hmm… can someone borrow me a 70-200mm f2.8?
It still amazes me that some people would still use this phrase - company policy - as a facade to hide the simple fact that they don’t care. Rather than take time off to listen to a grievance or problem, it’s simpler to say “This is company policy” or “I can’t change company policy“. What is actually being said is something along the lines of “I really can’t be bothered right now to help“. Fact - policies are man-made, they can be changed, worked-around and even broken if need be. It all falls back to whether you still give a damn. It is no wonder that academicians of business English advises strongly against bringing up the phrase company policy, ever. It has such a cloud of negativity associated with it that it is almost never wise to mention it.
I’m seeing first hand the cruel ethics of the real world being played out before me. People that are supposedly leaders and what-nots behaving all nice and pleasant one moment, and act quite differently the next, depending on who they are talking to. Or rather, to be more specific, whether whoever they are talking to has the potential of bringing any benefit. I’m not trying to be an idealist here, quite the contrary, I understand when one acts favorably to family members, close associates or even superiors, but I also believe in subtlety. There’s a reason the phrase “You scratch my back, & I’ll scratch yours” is spoken behind closed doors. Otherwise, you risk enraging the vast number of others who are not close with you (at the moment). Life is but a wheel with ups and downs - those that are beneath you will have their day.
I’ve seen and I’ll remember. To those who are kind to all, I salute you. To those that take time to listen and help the little ones in the midst of the chaos of life, I say “Kudos”. To those that helps selectively, stop. To those that have the tendency to utter the black words of company policy, do yourselves a favor and just keep quiet instead.
What goes around, comes around.
