I know first hand that the Treo 650 has good build quality. As long as it is not dropped or scratched with other hard elements, the Treo 650 can last years. My girl friend just sold off hers after a few years and it was still mint. However, things are taking a different twist with the Treo 680, looks like the D-pad can wear off after only 5 months.
